Getting Started

When you walk through the doors at CrossFit Cedar City, you become an athlete.  Your sport is CrossFit.  The people sweating beside you are your teammates, and your collective goal is to be better equipped for anything life might throw your way.  No excuses, just results.

Our workouts are intense - challenging you and your body to do things you never dreamt possible. They require you to be mentally alert, present and focused and will call upon your coordination, agility, strength, speed, endurance, stamina and flexibility. This is what we call "training" - and its purpose is to make improvements regularly in all areas of fitness.

CrossFit Fundamentals is a six-session course taken to introduce the CrossFit philosophy and functional movements of fitness, including body weight exercises and Olympic style weight training.  This course is a prerequisite for any person desiring to work out at CrossFit Cedar City, and will allow us to assess your ability and fitness level and learn what your goals and expectations are.  Classes are held over the course of two to three weeks and are semi-private and by appointment only.  After the Fundamentals course has concluded, you and your Fundamentals instructor will evaluate whether you are ready to join one of the regular CrossFit classes or if you would benefit more from additional individualized training.
